About

I am a software architect and frontend specialist with over a decade of experience in software development. My work sits where architecture meets performance: designing systems that scale, then making them fast.

Most of that decade has been spent in the Angular and JavaScript ecosystem — leading modernization efforts, untangling legacy stacks, and helping teams accelerate their development and solve complex technical challenges. I care as much about the people shipping the code as the code itself, which in practice means a lot of mentoring, hiring, and instilling standards that outlast any single project.

What I do

  • Architecture & Optimization

Crafting scalable, high-performance web applications tailored to business needs.

  • Rapid Modernization

Migrating and upgrading legacy systems with minimal downtime.

  • Performance Tuning & UX

Lazy loading, IndexedDB caching, and advanced data manipulation for superior user experiences.

  • Team Enablement

Training teams, mentoring developers, and instilling software excellence.

Selected achievements

  • Led the Angular modernization of a critical EU regulatory platform, upgrading from Angular 6 to 21, introducing Nrwl Nx, and migrating the test suite to Jest and WebdriverIO.
  • Pioneered performance optimizations that significantly reduced load times for complex dynamic forms using advanced lazy-loading techniques.
  • Designed frontend architectures for multiple organizations, transitioning systems from Java-based stacks to modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Mentored and trained developers, ensuring high coding standards and best practices in Agile environments.

Experience

  1. Mar 2026 — Present · Athens, Greece

    Senior Frontend Software Engineer

Vimachem — IIoT Pharma 4.0 AI Platform

  2. Dec 2019 — Mar 2026 · Athens, Greece

Software Architect (Senior Software Engineer, 2019–2022)

    TRASYS Greece

Led UI development and optimization of IUCLID, a major distributed software system for ECHA — owning Angular development, architectural decisions, and system performance.

Drove the modernization end to end: migrated the end-to-end test suite from Protractor to WebdriverIO, introduced Nrwl Nx with tags and module boundaries for better modularization, upgraded the system from Angular 6 to 21, and replaced Karma/Jasmine with Jest for a significant gain in test speed and reliability.

The core view of the app is a massive dynamically generated form built from backend JSON configuration. To keep it smooth I implemented lazy loading for all controls, and leaned on advanced graph manipulation and IndexedDB caching to make data access efficient.

Alongside the technical work I played a key role in hiring and mentoring new developers within a two-week-sprint Agile setup backed by Jenkins CI.

  3. Mar 2018 — Dec 2019 · Athens, Greece

    Software Engineer

    Blueground

Hired as a Java engineer, then moved into a JavaScript architect role once my JS work became the more valuable contribution. Made the architectural and technology decisions behind a modernized frontend for the company's internal ERP system, and got involved in hiring and training junior team members under Scrum and Kanban.

  4. May 2017 — Mar 2018 · Athens, Greece

    Software Engineer

    SingularLogic

Part of a newly formed team chartered to deliver fully web-based solutions with modern tooling. Worked daily in Angular 4 with TypeScript and Webpack, building enterprise systems for accounting and provisioning.

  5. Jun 2015 — May 2017 · Athens, Greece

    Software Engineer

    IRI

Built analytics web solutions, focused on a frontend architecture that had to handle big data by the nature of the industry. My work was recognized with a shift in remit — from serving one project to producing reusable solutions adopted by other teams. Day-to-day project management ran on Scrum, with remote collaboration across nationalities.

  6. Oct 2014 — Jun 2015 · Athens, Greece

    Junior Software Engineer

    Cognity

Developed and maintained TELCO projects for OTE–Cosmote, Greece's largest telecommunications organization. Heavy Java Spring work integrating with third-party systems such as Siebel CRM and Service BUS via web and REST services, across OTE's e-shop and integration system, Cosmote's online billing system, and Syzefxis II.

  7. Nov 2013 — Aug 2014 · Chios, Greece

    Information Systems Researcher

Hellenic Army — 96 High Military Command

Solely developed a web application granting fast access to naval and air force data, built with HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, and JSON data structures. It is still run at every Aegean post with an observational mission, and earned an official thanks from the Chief of Army Staff.

  8. Aug 2011 — Nov 2011 · Athens, Greece

    Software Developer, Internship

    Holic

Assisted a friend's startup with back-end infrastructure, working in C#, .NET, and WCF for a REST API.
